SHIPPING COSTS
Estimated shipping costs may also be obtained by contacting www.jamexexpress.com. Please note that the shipping quotes obtained online or any information provided via Jamex Express (K) Ltd staff, unless part of a formal quote, is solely an estimate and is subject to change without notice.
Shipping rates can be calculated after entering your specific shipping details during the checkout process. After confirming shipping address detail, your cargo will be shipped to our address and we will base shipping costs on either the volume or weight your cargo.
TRACKING PACKAGES
You are expected to share tracking information as a forward of the email you receive from the store you purchased your merchandise. Ensure that you have alerted us on any item that has special requirements like request for signature, offloading equipment for pallets, weekend delivery etc.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to track and verify the delivery of products purchased. Please understand that we have no control over delay times.
FRAGILE ITEMS
It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that all items are properly packed and secured.
Jamex Express (K) Ltd reserves the right to decline cargo packaged in appropriate way.When shipping fragile items ensure that you label your package in clear and legible handwriting.
PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED ITEMS
All of the items listed below are strictly prohibited from air shipping and must never be shipped through our services. Failure to abide with this demand may result in your being prosecuted by the relevant authorities and imprisonment and/or severe fines may arise.
Illegal goods (contraband)
Firearms, weapons or any item than could be used as a weapon, explosive devices, ammunition, or any parts hereof
Imitation (replica) or toy firearms
Aerosol cans/sprays
Dangerous Goods of every description- pesticides, petrol, acids, aerosols and bleaches
Dry ice
Engines, generators, and gear boxes
Fire extinguishers
Life jackets
Food products of every description (whether perishable or not perishable)
Perishable goods such as, but without limitation, pharmaceutical products
Lithium batteries or products containing such batteries.
Alcoholic beverages of every description
Furs and/or ivory or items made here from
Tobacco and tobacco products of every description
Corrosives such as acids, alkalis and mercury.
Fireworks, signal flares, sparklers or explosives
Fuel, paints, lighter refills, matches
Drain cleaners and solvents
Spray cans, butane fuel, scuba tanks, propane tanks, CO2 cartridges
Self inflating life vests
Ammunition, gunpowder, mace, tear gas or pepper sprays are generally forbidden
Dry ice, gasoline powered tools, wet cell batteries and camping gear with fuel.
Radioactive materials
Poisons
Infectious substances.
Non-radioactive medicinal or toilet articles (including aerosols) such as hairsprays, perfumes, colognes and medicines containing alcohol.
Consumer Electronic Devices containing Lithium metal or Lithium ion cells or batteries such as watches, calculating machines, cameras, cellular phones, laptop computers, camcorders etc.
Lithium or lithium ion batteries – We do not send any items containing batteries, these will be removed
* We will not carry any substances classified as dangerous in the latest edition of the IATA publication
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY DATES
We ship twice a month and our close out dates for receiving packages is 2nd and 15th of every month. Delivery estimates are calculated by taking the estimated shipping date and adding the transit time .The transit time is calculated using business days, meaning Saturday and Sunday don’t count toward the transit time.
CONSOLIDATED PACKAGES
When possible, items from multiple orders will be combined into the same package. This helps to reduce the number of packages sent to you, so you receive fewer packages and saving you from high shipping costs.
Items from multiple orders may be combined into the same package if the orders meet the following criteria
Multiple orders are placed through the same customer account
The orders are being shipped to the same consignee.
Items from each order have already been received at our New Jersey warehouse.
The orders are shipping at around the same time.
PAYMENT TERMS
All shipping, pick-up or delivery charges must be settled before cargo is released to the consignee in Kenya.
COLLECTION OF PACKAGES
Packages must be collected within seven business days upon first notification that the cargo is in Nairobi. Delay in picking your cargo may attract storage charges.
DISCLAIMER

Omission
Improper marking
Insufficient package securing, marking, or addressing.
If any party violates the shipping agreement.
Loss or damage by natural disaster or events out of our control including but not limited to nature,war,piracy, public enemies, act of public authority, among others.
